GET TO KNOW THE DAYAK TRIBE FROM KALIMANTAN
Indonesia has various tribes spread across various regions, one of which is the Dayak tribe in Kalimantan.
The Dayak tribe is an indigenous people who have inhabited the island of Borneo since ancient times. The Dayak tribe has 268 sub-tribes which are divided into 6 families, namely the Punan Family, the Klemantan Family, the Apokayan Family, the Iban Family, the Murut Family, and the Ot Danum Family. The Origin of the Dayak Tribe
Reporting from the Ministry of Education and Culture's website, Coomans (1987) revealed a theory supported by Inoue (1999) that the Dayak tribe is the descendant of immigrants from Yunnan Province in South China, to be precise on the Yangtse Kiang River, Mekong River and Menan River.
Some of these immigrant groups crossed into the Malaysian peninsula and continued their journey by crossing to the northern part of Borneo Island.
Then, a Dayak Kayan figure also explained that the Dayak tribe is an Indo-Chinese race that migrated to Indonesia in the 11th century.
SAMARINDA - Flying Saber is one of the traditions of the Dayak ancestral heritage which is considered to contain magical elements, even though it has now entered a sophisticated digital era but there are still many people who believe in the magic of the Dayak Tribe which is still guarded and respected.
